In this edition of #satipoftheday, we'll discuss the main areas of perception: sight, hearing, smell, touch, and taste.
All of our senses work together to give us a complete picture of our surroundings. Some provide more and better info than others, but they're all important to "listen" to.
What you see and what you hear are arguably the most important, as they provide the most and best info for most situations. Unfortunately, they are also the most susceptible to impairment if you're not prepared to meet a threat. Therefore, mental preparation is the key to overcoming dangerous situations. If you do learn how to prepare and use your senses effectively, you can learn how to #commandyourspace.
In the coming weeks, we'll look at each sense in a little more depth. In the meantime, if you're interested in learning more about situational awareness and what we at DATG offer; contact us at pete.w@defensiveapplicationstraininggroup.com.
