Arcuri Group Applied Verbal De-escalation

De-escalation employs verbal and nonverbal techniques to better manage a situation without having to potentially engage in a physical altercation. It can sometimes be described as the act (or art) of “talking someone down” during a disruptive or potentially violent encounter. Though physical intervention is sometimes unavoidable, successful de-escalation can help protect you and others in volatile situations. Arcuri Group’s de-escalation program is taught in conjunction with our best-in-class situational awareness training to give participants the information they need to be successful and have safer outcomes.
